Robin London starts the tour at Petrosino square, with the exciting story of the first Italian police officer named Joseph Petrosino. After. - we travel through Nolita area and through the heart of Mulberry Street. The day was beautiful, enjoyable, and extremely informative. Robin's interaction and genuine enthusiasm kept everyone intrigued. She even performed with one of the guests how you become a made man in the mob. Sign up today for this wonderful tours through Metro NYC tours website!! You will definitely be glad that you did.
Robin London is a dynamic and passionate tour leader. This is the second tour I have taken with her. Robin has a deep, extensive knowledge of her subject and relates stories and details with zest and humor. She is so comfortable and familiar with the streets of Little Italy and Chinatown that you immediately feel as if you are "back in the day" and can envision the sites and scenes she is describing. It is a pleasure to be on a tour with her..
My wife and I signed up for and participated in the Walking Mob Tour and was met by Robin London, a native New Yorker, who greeted us and 6 others at a predetermined location in Little Italy. Robin spoke about some of the pertinent history of the New York mafia and proceeded to show us around the area. We walked down Mulberry St which was a haven of crime and murder back in the day and the site of Gotti's Ravenite Club which is now a shoe store. We walked through Little Italy and Chinatown and we appreciated Robin's knowledge of the area and her intellect of Organized New York Crime. We ended in Five Points which is mentioned in Gangs of New York...
I was recently in NYC with some good old friends and we did together the Mafia Gangster Mob Tour with Robin from Metro NYC Tours. It was really cool for all of us to experience Little Italy, China Town and Soho in a totally unique film style like tour. Our tour guide Robin was super enthusiastic, really friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about Mafia in NYC, how it all developed, and told us very interesting stories and details about many Mafia gangs and personas. Robin kept our attention for the whole time, was open to topics that were interesting for us and recommended us a whole list of famous good old movies about the Mafia to watch.
I recommend this tour and the other tours from Metro NYC to all people, who want to experience a city differently, get into the streets and feel the life and special flavors, and the hidden jewels that New York can offer in so many corners of the city.
It was a very informative tour on the history of Mafia in NYC. She has a lot of passion for sharing the stories of the Mafia -- Italian, Irish & Chinese, from the beginning to now. It was a interesting experience to walk us through Little Italy & Chinatown. She appreciated questions and kept us entertained. The tour was 3 hours which was fine with me, the more I could learn!! She was very helpful after the tour as well to direct me a nice restaurant. It made a cold day in NYC a nice leisurely walk through the mobster world.
Robin was hands down amazing. I scheduled a private mob tour with her as my boyfriend's Christmas gift. Since it was hist first trip to NYC and he is very interested in the history of the mob, this was the perfect thing! Robin did not only have great knowledge, she was so friendly. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to do a fun, personal and educational NYC tour. Would definitely come back and do one of her other tours. Thank you Robin
My teenage son and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour over the holidays. The 2.5 hours focus not only on a century of mobsters and gangsters, but also on the lives of everyday immigrants and social reforms in NYC in the early 20th century. Robin's passion for the city and the subject matter shines through; I've watched Godfather II at least a dozen times, and now feel a personal connection to the flashback scenes with the benefit of Robin's knowledge and insight. An excellent companion to (or bare-bones substitute for) a visit to the Tenement Museum.
